According to YouTube, children under the age of 13 should be supervised by an adult.  Because of YouTube privacy and age requirements, instructions to opening an account will be sent upon registration. No adult other than a parent is lawfully allowed to open a YouTube account for any minor under the age of majority (18, 19, 21), based on where you live.

This is an interactive session where students will learn how to write lines of code in Python. Concepts covered: Basic Syntax, Arguments, Strings, While Loops, Variables, Algorithms. (As time permits).

 

NOTE: This is an intro workshop, limited spots available so learners receive individualized attention.

Make an Awesome Animated Movie in 7 Steps!

GPS’s STEM Saturday is a blend of virtual and project-based learning workshops. Monthly sessions are small and will meet via Zoom.  However,  a few additional hours will be required for research, development, and skill-building.  GPS is blending virtual and project-based learning activities to provide learners with a comprehensive learning experience that is flexible and safe.

The  BOSS Chemistry Kits will be mailed, STEAM Manuals may be downloaded, and the BOSS curriculum and videos may be accessed online.  Girls in grades 5th – 12th will learn how to develop their own cosmetic line, invent a product, develop a business plan, and go to market strategy.  The second phase of the program will include project-based Computer Science classes, ie. coding, game design, robotics, and digital marketing workshops.

Grade Level: 5-8
